Margarita Christmas Card

Well, it's been awhile but I finally got some time to upload a pic of my christmas cards from this past Christmas. The stamp is Holiday Margarita by Impression Obession and was purchased from Stampersdream.com. I used gamsol to color in the stamped image and stickles for th ice on the rim. The charm is Making Memories. I also used the snowflake folder and cuttlebug for the embossing. The inside read "Cheers to you this holiday season" and was printed on vellum.

Well, Easter is finally over with and just to give everyone a good laugh, you know those napkins rings and place cards I designed. . . Well I ran out of time and never even got to finish them :) That's how it goes some times I guess! Well, at least I can stop making candy boxes. I would have never bought this much candy without cricut "egging" me on :)

Wonder Pets Fly Boat

Calla Lilly Cut File

Well - I "sorta" have made a calla lilly. It needs some shading to add dimension from the front and back of the flower, I am just not good at that. My Baby Bug's New Cocoon

My baby bug's new cocoon! My mother quilted this great tote bag for my machine. The green is the bug green and what bug doesn't love a great flower. It's great it has plenty of room for mats, tools, cartridges (now I need more) and even some paper. She even double reinforced the bottom to ensure his safety. I am ready to go and swarm!

Easter Napkin Rings

HI - Well - I finally decided how I wanted them to look. I used pretty much the same bunny as the place cards, except I went straight to the googly eyes :) I used a patterned pink paper for the bunny ears and nose, gave it a bit of a dimensional look. The paper that runs around the band goes behind the egg paper. I used magic tape behind the bunny, with the curve of the ring it needed something a bit stronger. I also used staples in the back for a little extra strength. I have uploaded the file at:

****** A note on the place cards - I decided to do the names a bit different. Rather than cutting them all out and having to glue them on, I am going to use the Cricut colors and print the names right on to the patterned paper that goes on the card - Save a little time and a little paper! I'll upload a pic when I get them done.

Sliding Easter Card

Happy Monday! I have received several requests for instructions for the Sliding Egg/chick card. So, I am going to do my best here :) Let me start of by saying that this is scraplift from the March 08 issue of Paper Crafts, page 92.

First of all, I did use the Cricut for the egg and chicks. The chicks were George circles and the egg was an oval. I did them by hand on the cricut but with out design studio, but have put them in file for the purpose of these instructions. It can be downloaded at: http://www.mediafire.com/?yydajjmywxd.

The card is 5 1/2 square. Cut a 5" square (do not adhere to the card until the end) Adhere egg to the 5" square, it should be centered from left to right and about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the square. Cut the block, about 1 1/2" from the bottom of the egg. The cut should be straight on the card stock and jagged through the egg. Attach the bottom half of block to the card, use adhesive on only the edges and the bottom. Adhere the chicks, tucking behind the lower half of the egg. Attach a ribbon pull tab at the top with a decorative or colored staple.

Ok - To make set the brads cut two slits in the card that are 1 1/2" long. They should be a 1/2" from the sides of the card and 1/2 " from the top. I hope that makes sense. Lay the top of the egg on the card, in the closed position. Turn the card over and make pencil marks through the slits to the back of the egg. These are where you want to put the brads. They should be at the bottom of the slits so that the card will slid up, my fatal mistake :) Turn it over and attach brads, make it slides right. Decorate the rest however you choose. I used rub ons, the inside of the card has an egg and reads "the hunt is on".

This is an Easter card that I made for a little boy that we know. The egg and chicks were created using George. The card is scraplifted from Papercrafts magazine and was fun to make.

I also made a birthday card. The colors are pink and brown and the flower is stamped on. The squares and L were done with George!

18th Birthday

Ok - So I seem to be getting into the cards more :) This is a card that I made for my best friends daughter. She is turning 18 this weekend. The circles are 1 inch shadow and regular from George and so are the numbers. The stamp is Birthday Presents by Kolette Hall, I only inked the sentiment and skipped the presents.

Tonight I made another birthday card. This card opens like two doors with a white tiger as the closure. I cut flowers from George and added small rhinestones as the center. I added a "10" for her age. The inside is printed with the Disney font. I think I'm finally getting the hang of these cards :)

Easter Place Cards

HI - Today I decided to try making some placecards for Easter Dinner - We don't really need them, there is only 6 of us this year. But any excuse to use my Cricut! The are done with George and I used Eyelets for the eye's. I am not to sure about the eyes though - Anyone have any suggestions? The card it self is a tent card and then a patterned paper to decorate. Coupon File

I made a coupon file using George. It's 12 mini file folders glued together, covered and decorated. I used ribbon for a closure and glued it down in the back so that it couldn't slip off in my purse. I have included the cut file for the file folders if you are interested. There are three cuts, left middle and right tab. Just cut 4 of each.

Here is a card I just made. The card was done using George and Animal Kingdom. The cupcake was created using the DS and the cupcake from another cartridge as a template and filling it in with George shapes.

Spoiled Tag

To make this I used four of the bars (on the I Key) and welded them to make an outline of a tag. Then I added each letter individual into the center and welded top and bottom and then cut. I used the shadow key for the frame and letters.
